About TradeCareers.ca
An independent, free resource for anyone who wants to build a career with their hands and their head.
Why we exist
Getting into the trades in Canada can be confusing. Every province and territory has its own apprenticeship system, finding an employer sponsor is hard when you have no experience, and good information is scattered across dozens of websites.
TradeCareers.ca brings it together in one place: plain-language guides, a job board built around how trades hiring actually works, and practical support for the moments that matter — your first application, your first interview, and your certification exam.
What we believe
- The basics should be free. Our guides, job board and job alerts cost nothing.
- Safety first, always. We'll never advise shortcuts that put people at risk.
- The trades are for everyone. Youth, career-changers, women, Indigenous people, newcomers and veterans all belong on the tools.
- Honesty over hype. We don't publish made-up numbers or promise outcomes. We point you to official sources.
